Paolo Fresu Quartet.
Times Magazine called him: « The Prince of Trumpet ».
Paolo Fresu is unquestionably one of the most appreciated Italian musician who combines the historic music of the Mediterranean with contemporary Jazz, uniting the ancient with the New World. His trumpet together with the other instruments of his orchestra explore plaintive, vibrant, victorious, and sacred sounds. The sound of his trumpet is very often compared to the legends: Miles Davis and Chet Baker.
With over 150 concerts worldwide for the past decade, Paolo Fresu is a globe-trotter artist who multiplies collaborations with various and very singular artists such as Dhafer Youssef from Tunisia, Omar Sosa from Cuba or Trilok Guru from India, just to name a few. Paolo Fresu creates a new project every year. Between Jazz and World-Music, Paolo and his Quartet live are an act of elegance and virtuosity.
Who we are.
Zenith Music Festival’s mission is to highlight the music that over the centuries flourished along the various shores of the Mediterranean.
